DON FOURQUREAN
ADA-Services for Donald Fredrick "Don" Fourqurean, 72, Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Daniel will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mr. Fourqurean died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at a local hospital. He was born January 10, 1939 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Clinton and Ruby Mae Musser Fourqurean. He graduated from high school in Eunice, New Mexico and received an Associate's Degree from New Mexico Junior College.
He married Betty Murphy on March 10, 1958 in New Mexico. Mr. Fourqurean was an accounting clerk for El Paso Natural Gas from 1957 until 1999. In 1999, he and his family moved to Norman, Oklahoma from Jal, New Mexico and later moved to Ada in 2001. He was a member of the Jal, NM First Presbyterian Church, a Scout Leader, and a Coach for Little League Baseball. He served in the National Guard for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Fourqurean, of the home; a son, Greg Fourqurean, Ada; a daughter, Karen Kent and her husband Mark, Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Don Mark Kent, Kelli Kent, and Kaci Kent, all of Austin, TX, Brooke Fourqurean, Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Christian Fourqurean, Abilene, TX.
