Don Uhlich

Services for Donald Dayton "Don" Uhlich, 84, of Fittstown, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Tony Folger and Reno Dye will officiate. Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Uhlich passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born June 21, 1933 at Ada to H. C. "Jack" and Mildred Knight Uhlich. He attended Tupelo schools.

He married Wanda Lee "Polly" Flinn July 21, 1961. Mr. Uhlich was the owner of Oklahoma Painting and Speciality Company until his retirement. He served in the U. S. Army as a Ranger, specializing in demolition during the Korean War and was a member the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda "Polly", of the home; two daughters, Shelia Penick of Yates Center, KS and Tracie Lee and husband James of Lawton; a son, Delton Uhlich and wife Lisa of Fittstown; three grandchildren, Donielle Cantwell, Jeremiah Penick and wife Misty, and Brittani Bishop; three great-grandchildren, Natalie Cantwell, Lynsie Cantwell and Mason Simpson; a brother, Harold Uhlich of Fittstown; and a brother-in-law, Eldon Flinn of Fittstown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Coye Anne Flinn; and a granddaughter, Ashlie Cantwell.

Bearers will be Lyndon Flinn, Randal Flinn, Jason Flinn, Eli Flinn, Thomas Redman and Jedadiah Smith. Honorary bearers will be Richard Cartwright, Eldon Flinn and Harold Uhlich.
