Donald Cox
A memorial services for Donald Cox, 58, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Rejoice Church, Pastor Ken Wolf will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Cox died Saturday, December 7, 2024 at his home. He was born June 3, 1966 in Ada to Donnie and Jean Pitman Cox. He graduated from Byng High School in 1985.
He married Debra Miller on May 12, 1989. Mr. Cox worked for and attended East Central University and was enlisted in the Navy Reserves. He was employed at Dart for 30 years, with 29 years as a Maintenance Mechanic, finishing his last year as a Part Room Attendant, and previously employed with Dee's Trim Shop, Ragland Bailey and Classic Coachworks.
In his spare time, he enjoyed various hobbies and mastered his trades as a Master Mechanic, Marksman, Master Upholsterer, Avid Collector, Green Thumb Gardener, Cook/Chef, Prepper and Survivalist, History Buff, Movie Buff and excellent storyteller.
Mr. Cox could be found on KTLS and Spider Radio with the call name of "Donnie Zee".
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Debra Cox, of the home; his parents, Donnie and Jean Cox; son, Jeremy Cox and wife Faith; daughter, Kala Furr and husband Jake; brother, John Cox and wife Jennifer; nephew, Landon; and nine grandchildren, Kaelyn, Khloe, Zoee, Jaelyn, Maekinzee, River, Thomas, Penelope and Evelyn.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Claude Miller, Sr.
