Services for Donald Eugene Butler, 89, of Ada, are 10:00 Monday, November 15, 2021 at Central Church of Christ, Bud Ross will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Fletcher Cemetery in Fletcher, OK.  Visitation will be Sunday, November 14 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Butler passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at an Oklahoma City hospital.  He was born April 13, 1932 in Lawton, OK to Freddie Wayne and Lena Lorissa Waller Butler.

He married Marjorie Ann Butler in Yuma, Arizona, January 12, 1951.  She preceded him in death June 30, 2019.  Mr. Butler completed 10 years at Lawton High School and then enlisted in the Navy.  He was awarded an Honorary Diploma from the Lawton Board of Education in 2015.  While serving in the Navy Mr. Butler was a Navy Petty Officer 3 ^rd Class, E4 Gunners Mate and he served in the Korean Conflict June 1950 – March 1954.  He was the Founder of Butler's Minit Mart and he was a rural mail carrier.  Mr. Butler was a member of the Central Church of Christ and he enjoyed serving the public through his businesses.

Survivors are his three sons, Allen Butler and wife, Cindy, Mike Butler and Brian Butler; Swiss Daughter, Sondra Honegger Zurcher; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two brother-in-law's, David Witten and Truman Witten; one niece and many nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Lena Butler; two brothers, Dale and Leon; two sisters, Freda and Betty; his wife of 68 years, Marjorie; son, Freddie Butler; and granddaughter, Summer Lorissa Butler.

Bearers are Joey Ardrey, Josh Butler, Matt Butler, Jeremy Butler, Jason Prather and Butch Lorenz.
