Services for Don Allen Clark, 89, will be at 12:00 PM Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the First Presbyterian Church of Ada, Oklahoma. Pastor Buddy Baltimore will officiate.
Don Allen Clark passed away January 16, 2025 at his home in Ada, Oklahoma. He was born September 30, 1935 in Hale, Texas to O.T. and Mattie Clark.
After graduating from Bonham High School, he studied at East Texas University and served in the ROTC. After graduating with a double major in math and chemistry and a minor in physics, he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to work as a chemist for the EPA for 12 years; Alameda, California for 1 year; and Ada, Oklahoma for 24 years before retiring. After that, he did contract work for Kerr Lab for a few more years.
He was married to Brenda Coulter from 1982 until her death in January 2020. He was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ada, Oklahoma and a part of Ada's AARP tax team for many years.
Don was known for his love of his family, travel, exploring jeep roads in Colorado, photography, gardening, kite flying, ballroom dancing, and much much more.
He is survived by his son Mark Clark and wife Nancy of Leander, Texas; daughter Deborah Vogt and husband David of Ada, Oklahoma; stepdaughter Lynn Coulter and partner Erik Stenson of Highland Village, Texas; stepdaughter Terri Coulter and husband Joe of Oklahoma City; stepdaughter Judy Dunning and husband Tom of Edmond; grandchildren: Weston Harris and wife Kenda, Caroline Harris and fiancé Travis Harjo, Paul Harris, Will Vogt, Jared Vogt, Jacob Vogt, Ryan Watts and wife Katie, Brittany Vasae Burdick and husband Sir Melancon, Derek Burdick, Kalli Burdick and husband Chris Burke. Great grandchildren: Amelia Vogt, Anna Loss, Ava O-Rouke, Bailey Vogt, Eloise Burke, Tucker Watts, and Quinn Watts.
Don was preceded in death by his parents O.T. and Mattie Clark and his wife Brenda Coulter.
