DOLLIE HARVEY
ADA-Services for Dollie Mae Harvey, 94, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Karl Burkhardt, Dane Robinson and Don Sayre will officiate. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
Mrs. Harvey died Friday, July 22, 2011 at an Ada nursing home. She was born March 25, 1917 at Velma, Oklahoma to Claud Dee and Willie Pearl Fletcher Stevens. She attended Koller school near Sulphur.
She married Curtis Wynn Harvey on April 10, 1937. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1990. Mrs. Harvey was an aircraft worker after World War II. She later was a cook in the Sulphur School District and was a sales clerk in retail sales. She was also a foster grandparent and tutored children. She was a longtime member of Shephard of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Sulphur and also attended Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Jimmie Ruth Lofton, Ada, and Reneé Burkhardt and her husband Karl, Ada; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Colleen Tipton who died in 2004.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Curtis Lofton, Eric Carmichael, Clint Hoevker, Tristen Thomas, William Tipton, Don Cheatwood, Chris Thomas and Curtis Thomas.
