Diana Kay Koerting

Diana Kay Koerting, 85, of Ada completed her earthly race Wednesday, January 28, 2026 in Coalgate, OK. She was born November 7, 1940 in Norfolk, NE to Wayne B. and Glynn Cook.

She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the VA in Amarillo, TX until her retirement.

She was an avid runner and cyclist and participated in many triathlons and cycling races. She was a lover of all sports and loved cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, OKC Thunder and Texas Rangers. However, her favorite sporting events to attend were those of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the best fan anyone could ask for. She enjoyed volunteering at the Botanical Gardens during her time living in Amarillo, TX. She made friends wherever she went and enjoyed walks and chats with neighbors. She was a wonderful cook and baker; every Sunday dinner and Holiday meal was a labor of love. Her greatest joy was her family; she was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandma and GG. She always made time for tea parties, baking cookies and playing games with her children and grandchildren. Her nurturing presence will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her two sons, Tom Koerting and wife Kendra of Avon, IN and Tim Koerting and wife Dianne of Denton, TX; daughter Jill O'Grady and Marty Byrd of Ada, OK; grandchildren Kyle Koerting, Katie Koerting, Kelsey Dause, Jennifer O'Grady, Collin O'Grady, Kimberly Blankenship, Patrick Patterson and Seth Koerting; and six great grandchildren and many "adopted" grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Glenn Cook; husband Lowell "Emil" Koerting and sister Judy Lawler.

A memorial service for Diana will be held at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada, OK Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
