Services for Derrell Lynn Phillips, 76, of Francis are 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2023 at Faith Assembly of God Church, Kenny Morrison and Rev. Richard Bailey will officiate.  Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Mr. Phillips passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at his home.  He was born October 11, 1946 in Ada to Glen and Hazel Matthews Phillips.

On June 1, 1966 he married Frances Adams.

Mr. Phillips began working for the Frisco Railroad in 1965 and retired in 1998. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was involved with the community and served on the Cedar Grove Cemetery Board for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Frances, of the home; son, Brent Phillips and wife Katie, of Eufaula, OK; two daughters, Jana Diehm and husband Gary, of Wichita Falls, TX, and Lisa Painter and husband, Terry, of Ada; two sisters, Mary Pherigo of Oklahoma City and Donna Green and husband Luther, of Ada; eight grandchildren, Taylor Powell, Ashlyn Wright, Kyndal Diehm, Susie Phillips, Logan Diehm, Hank Phillips, Scarlett Phillips and Hazel Phillips; and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Glen Dale Phillips; and a sister, Janet Chandler.

Bearers are Tim Harris, Cody Harris, Jeff Briggs, Scott Briggs, Kanan Matthews, and Larame Adams.  Honorary bearers are Bill Ross, Tim Crawley, Lyle Henderson, Tim Wilson, and John Wilson.
