DENNIS MCDONALD
ADA-Services for Dennis Dewayne McDonald, 64, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery.
Mr. McDonald died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at a Norman hospital. He was born September 3, 1947 in Ada, Oklahoma to Marcus and Quanah Reed McDonald. He attended Vanoss schools and graduated from Vanoss High School in 1965.
He married Bonnie Biggs on February 10, 1989. Mr. McDonald was a carpenter and also was employed with Pontotoc County District #2 until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie McDonald, of the home; a son, Shane McDonald and his wife Laura of Stratford; three daughters, Shandy Ward and her husband Brandon of Stratford, Lacee Flanary and her husband Rick of Ada, and Taylor McDonald of the home; a sister, Jean Storts and her husband Leonard of Ada; and seven grandchildren, Hope McDonald, Hunter McDonald, Chase Ward, Cole Ward, Jaelyn Flanary, Bodee Flanary, and Konner Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Brett McDonald and Tanner McDonald; a brother, Bill McDonald; and a sister, Barbara Holloway.
Bearers will be Paul Rosser, Ferman Traylor, LeDon Turpin, Sean Lackey, Larry Muck, and Brad Faust. Honorary bearers will be Bruce Griffin, Leslie Henderson, James Henderson, Dennis Thornton and Hardie Biggs.
