Dempsie O. Basler, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring for Dempsie O. Basler, Jr., 84, of Ada.

Mr. Basler died September 24, 2023 after a short illness. He was born September 23, 1939 in Leedey, Oklahoma to Dempsie Orville Basler, Sr. and Nona Lucille Blair Basler.

He married Za Eva Jones on June 10, 1956.  Mr. Basler graduated from Leedey High School and later attended Oklahoma State Tech.  He was a self-employed Accountant.

Survivors include his wife, Za Basler, of the home; three children, Ethalu Miller, Dobie Neal Basler and wife Rebecca and Chris Lee Basler and wife Jonna; two brothers, Orville Lee Basler and Curtis Basler; one sister, Catherine (Susie) Tullis; seven grandchildren, Robert Bess, Shawn Miller, Kali Dawn Reed, Tara Lynn Alvarez, Christopher Basler, Jennifer Ridenour and Breanna Turk; 17 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Marion Basler and one sister-in-law, Elinora Basler.
