DeLoris Harper

Services for DeLoris Marie Harper, 92, of Owasso will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at the First Church of Owasso, Dr. Doug Haning and Rev. Ben Killion will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow.

Mrs. Harper died Monday, July 17, 2017 at an Ada nursing home. She was born November 13, 1924 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Frank and Marie Noder Chaney. She graduated from Webster High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She married Ben Harper on February 1, 1942. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2017 in Tulsa. Mrs. Harper retired as a tag agent in Tulsa and was a member of the First Christian Church of Owasso.

Survivors include her son, Dr. Ben Harper and his wife Colette of Ada; son-in-law, Col. Joe Haning of Owasso; grandchildren, Dr. Doug Haning and wife Cindy of Tyler, Texas, John Haning and wife Arlynne of Claremore, Adriane "Ace" Harper and husband Matt Sorum of Los Angeles, California, Leslie and husband Raymond Vanoff of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Rudi Inge and wife Melissa of Yukon, and Kaci Crane and husband David of Solano Beach, California; fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Terrie Ann Haning; five sisters, Lucy Helen Schaum, Hester Irene Jackson, Velma Clara Higdon, Mabel Emma Brown and Angie Irene Barsh; one brother, John Russell Williamson

Bearers will be Dr. Doug Haning, John Haning, John Haning, Jr., Jennifer Haning, Rudi Inge, and Matt Sorum.
