DEL THACKER
WACO, TEXAS-Graveside services for Delbert Jerome "Del" Thacker, Jr., 51, Waco, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Maxwell Cemetery, Rev. Kendall Martin will officiate.
Mr. Thacker died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at his home. He was born March 22, 1957 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Delbert J. and Hazel Joy Lane Thacker. He graduated from Del City High School in Del City, Oklahoma. He was a certified E.M.T., was a welder and a web page designer. He was of the Baptist faith and had served in the U. S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his mother, Joy Hatfield, Midwest City; two sisters, Cindi Sanders, Severn, Maryland, and Beverly Hill, Midwest City; a brother, Todd Thacker, Midwest City; his grandmother, Elva Lane, Midwest City; and his children, Brandon Thacker, Norman, Amy & Dillon, Bonham, Texas; two aunts, Wyleta Gray, Phoenix, Arizona, and Dotti Merritt, Corpus Christi, Texas; and uncles, John Lane, Broken Arrow, and Judson Thacker, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Jerome Thacker, Sr., his grandfather, J. S. Lane, and grandparents, Ruth and J. C. Thacker.
