Obituary

DELBERT HAINES

ADA-Services for Delbert Homer Haines, 94, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Abba's House Worship Center, Rev. Ken Angel will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Haines died Monday, March 17, 2008 at a local hospital. He was born September 24, 1913 at the Maxwell Community, northwest of Ada to John Paige and Naomi Liles Haines and attended Latta schools. He and his wife moved back to this area in 1984 from Mineral Wells, Texas.

He married Ila Marie Pittman on May 4, 1941. She died February 4, 2007 at Ada. Mr. Haines was a helicopter mechanic for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Abba's House Worship Center and served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his son, Kenny Haines and wife Barbara, Ft. Worth, Texas; a daughter, Mary N. Kinshella and husband Bill, Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers, Leonard Haines and wife Fannie, Ada, and Floyd Haines and wife Janet, Arlington, Virginia; one sister, Nevada Maddux and husband, Rev. Earl Maddux, Del City; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

The Chickasaw Honor Guard will serve as bearers.
