Services for Dax Tanner Byrd, 45, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Criswell Funeral Home, Richard Summers will officiate.  Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Sasakwa, OK.

Mr. Byrd passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at his home.  He was born October 2, 1976 in Lawton, OK to Thomas Charles Byrd and Shirley Jean Lindsey Roberson.  He was a heavy equipment operator for the Chickasaw Nation.

Survivors are his father, Thomas Charles Byrd and wife, Brenda, of Ada; mother, Shirley Roberson; son, Tanner Dax Byrd; one brother, Thomas Franklin Byrd; and two sisters, Ruby Hemphill and Redena Shirlean Hall.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Jo Lindsey.

Bearers are John Merrell, Andy Smith, Joseph Hunnicutt, Jonathan Futisha, Glen Moore, Shawn Holland, and Taylor Byrd.  Honorary bearers are Chris Foster, Robbie McWhethy and Toby Byrd.
