David Gene Starr born July 15, 1955 to Carl Jean Starr and Helen Eliza Farris Starr at Okemah, OK, passed away Sept. 1, 2021, at his home outside of Ada, OK at the age of 66 years.

David served his country in the Army and was a frequent patient at the VA hospital in Oklahoma City. David enjoyed his hobby farm raising ducks, geese, sheep, Anatolian Shepherds, and Great Pyrenees.

He was preceded in death by his parents; younger sister, Rachel Annette; and an older sister, Joyce Carlene Herrod.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Pierce; two adopted sons, Grayson and Kingston; two step-sons, Shannon and Mike; three sisters, Mary Lou Butler, Cromwell, Rosetta Maranell and husband Terry, Derby, KS, and Rebecca Loveless, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Richard Starr and wife Joann, Cromwell, James Starr and wife Ruby, Ada, and Samuel Starr and wife Kim, Bartlesville; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be Monday, September 6, 20212 at 36734 EW 113, Okemah, OK, Pastor Charles Gonzales of Ponca City to officiate.
