David Haught

Memorial services for David Leonard Haught, 75, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, his brother-in-law, Rev. Steve DeShazo will officiate.

Mr. Haught passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at a local care center. He was born June 12, 1944 at Marlow to Leonard and Amy Mills Haught. He graduated from Marlow High School in 1962, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from East Central University. He received a Master's Degree from Southwestern University in Weatherford, and a PhD. of Theology at the Oklahoma Missionary Baptist Institute.

He married Cherri Kerce August 12, 1980 in Marlow. She preceded him in death November 14, 2005. David pastored churches for 55 years including Broken Bow, Lawton and several other churches. He also taught at the Oklahoma Missionary Baptist Institute.

Survivors include a sister, Glenda DeShazo and her husband Steve of Ada; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two brothers, O'neil Barker and Charlie Barker.
