DAVE HILL
ADA-Services for David Ray Hill, 77, Ada, are 10 a.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery at Stonewall.
Mr. Hill died Friday, July 22, 2011, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Aug. 26, 1933, to David Richard and Ethel Elmira Smith Hill at Silverton, Texas. His family moved to Tupelo when he was a child. He graduated from Tupelo High School. Mr. Hill was retired from Exxon Mobil Oil Company where he had been employed as a gas plant operator and a field foreman. He was a rancher and a member of Stonewall Church of Christ.
He and LaVelle Turpin were married April 29, 1953.
Survivors include his wife, LaVelle, of the home; two daughters, Kelly Galbreath and husband Jim, Ada, and Patti Woodard and husband Gary, Edmond; one son, Mark Hill and wife Patti, Fitzhugh; grandchildren, Brian and Julie Woodard, David Jason Hill, Lacey and Jeremy Farmer, Rowdy and Jennifer Hill, Marcus Hill, Crystal and Odie Heck, Cole Carter, Clay Galbreath and Craig Galbreath; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Kolter, Cailey and Hadleigh; a sister, Mary Ann Witherspoon, Ada; and a brother, Jack Ed Hill and wife Corene, Euless, TX.
Bearers are Greg Hill, Rick Hill, Rowdy Hill, Cole Carter, Clay Galbreath and Brian Woodard. Honorary bearers are Keith Hill, Ira Fariss, Gary Witherspoon, Jerry Winningham, Mike Mapp and Henry Young.
