BUZZ HODGES
ADA-Graveside services for David Wendel "Buzz" Hodges, 78, Ada, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rosedale Cemetery. Scott Miller will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Hodges died Friday, June 28, 2013, at an Ada hospital. He was born Jan. 17, 1935, to Dave Wall and Alta Norene Reed Hodges at Ada. He lived in the Ada area all of his life. He attended school at Glenwood and Tupelo and was employed at Valley View Regional Hospital in the maintenance department and retired as a maintenance supervisor at Ballard's Nursing Center. Mr. Hodges was a Baptist and a 32nd Degree Mason.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana L. Bolin and husband J.B., Ada, and Janet D. Ward and husband Billy, Ada; four grandchildren, Jamie D. Matthews, Ada, Joni D. Thomas and husband Bryan, Ada, Jennifer L. McGill and husband Tanner, Davis, Susie Lynn Summers and husband Johnathan, Ada, and Mason Lane Campbell, Ada; and eight great-grandchildren, Olivia Brinlee, Justice McGill, Gavin Miller, Paisleigh Miller, Mattison McGill, Addison Thomas, Jacob Summers and Bo Summers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Wesley Hodges and Manly Gene Hodges; and a grandson, John David Bolin.
Bearers are Tanner McGill, Bryan Thomas, Bill Bolin, Floyd Neugin, Brian Grinnell and Johnathan Summers. Honorary bearers are John Turner and Eugene Bush.
