DAVID FRY
ADA-Private family gathering will be held at a later date for David Bruce Fry, 63, Ada. A formal visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Fry died Monday, April 25, 2011 at a Shawnee hospital. He was born October 26, 1947 in Wheeler, Texas to David M. and Nadine Fry. He graduated from Kingston High School in 1966. He attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas and also Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant.
Mr. Fry had pastored several small Baptist churches and had worked in hotel and restaurant management in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for several years before moving back to Ada and retiring.
Survivors include two sons, David W. Fry and his wife Melissa of Ada, and Danny Fry and his wife Kim, Poplar Bluff, MO; a daughter, Melody Palmer and her husband Shannon, Sapulpa; his parents, David M. and Nadine Fry of Ada; three sisters, Inell Cassell, Ada, Sue McNutt and her husband Jack, Ada, and Brenda Treat, Ada; six grandchildren, Katie Fry, Maddie Stowe, Abby Stowe, Shannon Palmer, Brandon Fry and Matt Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fry enjoyed spending time with his family and was a very generous and caring son, brother, dad, grandpa and uncle.
