DAVENE WHITEHEAD
MIDWEST CITY, OKLAHOMA-Graveside services for Davene Whitehead, 87, Midwest City, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Rosedale Cemetery. Rev. Ray Talbott will officiate.
Mrs. Whitehead died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at a Midwest City nursing home. She was born November 12, 1922 at Poteau, Oklahoma to Dave and Delphiania May Yoakum Roberts. She graduated from McAlester High School.
She married Jack Whitehead in 1941 at Holdenville, Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. Whitehead moved to the Ada area in 1946 from Holdenville. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1965 in Ada. Mrs. Whitehead was a professinal seamstress.
Survivors include four daughters, Delores Duncan and husband Tom, Janice Daggett, Jacci Bolt, and Denise Zazzetti and husband Bill; a son, David Whitehead, all of Midwest City; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jack E. Whitehead, Jr. in 2009.
Bearers will be Bill Zazzetti, Danny Addington, Donny Peynter and Tom Duncan.
