ADA-Private family graveside services for Darla Jean Farmer, 78, of Ada, were held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Holdenville Cemetery.
Mrs. Farmer died Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at a local nursing home. She was born November 15, 1935, at Holdenville, Oklahoma, to Virgil M. Lee and Cora Lee Howell Lee. She attended grade school in Holdenville and graduated from Holdenville High School.
She married Richard M. Farmer on September 3, 1954. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2003, in Ada. She and her family moved to Ada in 1968 from Del City, Oklahoma. Mrs. Farmer was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Dana Nanette Roller of Norman, and Christie Lee Knight of Denver, CO; a granddaughter, Dresden Russell of Norman; grandson, Logan Knight of Denver, CO, one sister, Johnnie Bunch of Ada; and a brother, Donald Lee of Bangor, ME.
