Danny Summers

Services for Danny Elvis Summers, 68, of Stonewall are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Rick Summers and Rev. Richard Dickerson will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Summers passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born September 5, 1949 at Trenton, MI to Elvis Henry and Hazel Margaret Maybush Summers. He moved to this area in 1981 from Michigan.

He married Rosemary Carter June 28, 1969 at Flatrock, MI. She preceded him in death. He was later engaged to Charlene "Chuckie" Lennox in 2000. Mr. Summers was a cabinet maker and co-owner of D & M Custom Millwork.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Scates, Amy Chronister and husband Tim, all of Ada; a son, Danny Summers, Jr. and his fiancé, Judy Boudreaux of Stonewall; a step-daughter, Carla Lamoni and husband Tony of Stonewall; step-son, Clayton Carroll of Florida; a son-in-law, Mike Scates of Ada; one brother, Jim Summers and wife Melissa of Mannford; seven grandchildren, Josh Summers and wife Courtney of Ada, Coy Cranford of Ada, Ashley Chronister of Ada, Shelby Boudreaux of Houston, TX, Danny Matthew Summers of Stonewall, Jerry Perez and wife Megan of Stonewall and Justin Friend of Stonewall; one great-granddaughter, Hadleigh Moore, Ada; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Rosemary; his fiancé Charlene; a brother, Henry Summers; and a nephew, Henry, Jr.

Bearers will be Danny Summers, Jr., Danny Matthew Summers, Jim Summers, Josh Summers, Mike Scates, Tim Chronister and Coy Cranford. Honorary bearers will be Jerry Perez, Justin Friend and Caleb Christian.
