Daniel Kristopher Cabo
Daniel Kristopher Cabo was born July 29, 1983 at the Carl Albert Indian Hospital in Ada Oklahoma to Kay Taylor Colbert Wyche and Rene Eulogio Cabo. He passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Integris Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City.
Daniel grew up and lived in Ada. While in Jr. High School Daniel played baseball, football, and soccer. Moving to High School Daniel played soccer and football as a wide receiver and cornerback. After public school, Daniel went to attend East Central University where he earned a bachelor's degree in finance in 2007. While attending ECU Daniel was involved in many co-ed cheer squads, cheering the ECU Tigers to victory serving as a base for lifting and throwing stunts. He also made time to coach High School soccer teams and served as a mentor for students.
Daniel loved his Chickasaw heritage and had a desire to serve the tribe in his adult life. After graduation from ECU he put his financial degree to use and embarked upon a career with the Chickasaw Nation Department of Commerce. He advanced through the ranks to eventually attaining the position as a marketing analytics manager.
Daniel always made time to give back to the community and his friends. If he wasn't coaching soccer he mentored and helped with instructing future Tiger Cheer Squads after graduation. Beyond community service, he enjoyed billiards, Oak Hills Country Club, being a pillar of the community, and rooting for his favorite football team, The Miami Hurricanes. He supported his friends with everything he had whether it was Jake Godwin and Jake's Bottle Shop, or Brad and Sarah Heimer and 580 Barbell Club.
Daniel's remaining time was spent with his family, friends, coworkers, and mostly his beloved German Shepherd, Niko.
