DALE EDDY

ROME, NEW YORK-Memorial services for Dale C. Eddy, 69, Rome, New York, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Criswell Funeral Home, Rev. Bob Langston officiating.

Mr. Eddy died on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born October 3, 1938, at Utica, New York, to Kenneth and Doris Curtis Eddy. He lived in New York most of his life and worked as a driver for the Marcy Psychiatric Center Department of Transportation for the State of New York. He was of the Methodist faith, a member of the American Legion of Clark Mills, New York, and a Councilman for the town of Forestport. He served in the U. S. Army and was a volunteer fireman for New York Mills Fire Department.

He married Yvonne Marie Pillmore on December 11, 1982 in Stittville, New York.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Marie Eddy, Rome, New York; three daughters, Kendra Eddy, of the home; Justine Eddy, of the home; and Heather Mathis and husband Dion, Boonville, New York; a sister, Diane Bond, Ada; a brother, Jay Eddy, Clark Mills, New York; three grandchildren, Hunter Quigley, Emilee Mathis and Levi Mathis; nieces, Pamela Bond, Ada; D'Arcy Bond, Ada; nephews, Dean Bond and wife Judy, Oklahoma City; Danny Eddy, New York and Jeremy Bond, Norman, OK; and Sheldon L. Bond, Ada; and three friends, Gene Shanko, Dean Mallory and Graham Lett. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Sheldon Zane Bond.
