DAISY COOPER
ADA-Services for Daisy Velma Cooper, 97, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Sutton will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born September 9, 1913 at Ada, Oklahoma to Allen Franklin and Bertha Beatrice Scates George. She lived most of her life in this area and attended Latta schools.
She married Elzie Bryan Cooper on September 12, 1931 at Ada, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1991. Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and a gardener.
Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Jenkins and her husband Mark, Paoli; a sister, Willie Marie Bonds, Walnut Creek, CA; a son-in-law, Don Gatewood, Ada; a daughter-in-law, Mildred Cooper, Ada; eleven grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Lucille Gatewood, a son, Dale Cooper, grandson, Rick Gatewood and his wife Debra, granddaughter, Tawnya Gatewood; a great grandson, Ricky Gatewood, and siblings, Stella Georgia, Jewel Dean Beatrice, Robert Franklin, and Gladys Lorene.
Bearers will be Sam Cooper, Toby Cooper, Bryan Abney, Keith Flowers, Wade Hoover and Gary Chaffin.
