Cynthia Ann Brannon Mitchell

Cynthia Ann Brannon Mitchell, age 75 of Stonewall, OK passed from this earth on October 15, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ruby Brannon; a sister Joyce Meeks and one brother, Jim Brannon.

She is survived by her son, Steven Stick of Dallas, TX; nephew Ronnie Meeks, Stonewall, OK; niece Mendy Brannon; New York, New York; nephew John Brannon, Tulsa, OK and nephew Michael Brannon, Oklahoma City, OK and a host of long-time, loyal friends.

Cynthia was born on November 24, 1945 in Ada, OK. She attended Byng High School graduating in 1963 and then she attended St. Anthony's College of Nursing. Cynthia began working for the Pontotoc County Clerk's office in 1973 and was elected as the Pontotoc County Clerk in 1987. After, she became a lobbyist/liaison for the Oklahoma County Officer's and Deputies Association in 1993.

Following her retirement, she dedicated herself to the care of her father until his passing. Cynthia was passionate about cooking for family and friends, tournament poker and Oklahoma State University Football.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Oakman Cemetery. A reception will follow from 2-4 p.m. at the Oak Hills Golf and Country Club, Ada, OK.
