Curtis Ross
Services for Curtis Avon Ross will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Curtis was born on January 3, 1936 in Lovelady, Oklahoma and died on November 15, 2025 in Ada, Oklahoma. He married Juanita Ann Baker in 1954 when he graduated high-school, he was 18 and she was 16, they moved to Chicago for him to go to Devry Technical Institute and he became an aircraft engineer. When they later moved back to Oklahoma, they and their 4 sons, the youngest a toddler, built their house with their own hands from the ground up. Both their house and their marriage have withstood the test of time and many trials.
Curtis was a faithful deacon at Ahloso Baptist Church and served God's people and his neighbors well for many many years. He was a very giving and loving man, a great hunter, engineer, builder, cattle rancher, entrepreneur, patriot, and protector & provider for his family, as well as others.
He departed this world to be with his Lord in a much better place, he leaves behind a legacy of service and love for his Lord & King, his family & friends, and his country.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Ann Ross, a self-sacrificing woman of God who was his caregiver in their home for the last 10 years in his struggle with Alzheimer's, his 4 sons David Ross (and Patty) of Oklahoma City, OK., Gary Ross (and Terra) of Ada Ok., Dean Ross (and Debbie) of Ada, Ok. Bobby Ross (and Kim) of Ada OK. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren as well as 4 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Nora Ross, and also by his 2 brothers Bill Ross and Perry Don Ross, and his granddaughter Mistrie Ross. He was loved by his family, his church, his community, and his friends who will all miss him.
