CURTIS HOGUE
ADA-Services for Curtis Hogue, 81, of Ada, are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Free Will Baptist Church, Revs. David Sutton and Ryan Humble will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery near Francis.
Mr. Hogue died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at his home. He was born April 16, 1931 at Roff, Oklahoma to C. T. and Bessie Lamb Hogue. He attended Steedman and Byng grade school and graduated from Byng High School. He attended Hillsdale Bible College in Moore.
He married Vivian Jones on June 17, 1950. Mr. Hogue pastored Free Will Baptist Churches for many years. He operated a Christian Bookstore for 10 years and formerly owned and operated Yard Ornaments, Etc. Mr. Hogue was a longtime active member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Ada where he taught Sunday School Class for over 50 years. He and his wife were avid travelers having taken many cruises throughout the years.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Hogue, of the home; one daughter, Cathy Polzien and her husband Jeff of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Melanie Floyd, Meredith Hogue, Charlie Hogue, Caitlin Silver and her husband Randy, and Allison Polzien; and two sisters, Alyene Pierot of Tulsa, and Pauline Nickell of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Ronny Hogue and Scotty Hogue; and three brothers, Thomas Hogue, Warren Hogue and Willie Hogue.
Bearers will be Kim Ruhl, Roy Nolen, Don Kerr, Jeff Polzien, and Harvey Hogue.
