ADA-Graveside services for Crickett Guffey Smith, 83, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Friday at Byrd's Prairie Cemetery in Tupelo, Rev. John Haynes will officiate.
Mrs. Smith died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in Ada. She was born April 4, 1930 in Vidette, Arkansas to Gardner Guffey and Eddie Johnson Guffey. She attended schools in Arkansas and Tupelo.
She married Rudolph Smith, Jr. on February 11, 1949. He preceded her in death in 1976. Mrs. Smith was a food service supervisor at Jan Frances Nursing Home for 13 years.
Survivors include two sons, Howard Smith of Ada and Tommy Joe Smith of Milburn; three sisters, Fannie Jennings of Ada, Leona Landrith of Sacramento, CA, and Irene Stonecipher of Ada; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Sandra Miller in 1977; four brothers, Jack, Johnny, H. G. and Curtis; and a sister, Alice Poole.
