CREED SMITHEE

STONEWALL-Services for Creed Lee Smithee, 21, Stonewall, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tony Peak will officiate. Mr. Smithee died May 16, 2009, near Stonewall.

He was born February 13, 1988, at Rockford, Illinois, to Richard Lee and Vicky Ruth Shipley Smithee. He lived most of his life in the Stonewall area, attending school in Ada and Stonewall and was employed in maintenance and housekeeping at a local nursing home. He was of the Baptist faith and was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his mother, Vicky Smithee, Stonewall; a brother, Ricky Joe Smithee, of Shawnee; a sister, Brandi Dickinson and husband Andrew, Shawnee; uncles, Tommy Hendley, Michael Hendley and wife Kimberly, all of Stonewall, and Jim Smithee, Stratford; aunts, Deborah Hendley, Pickett, and Billie Dean and husband Robert, Stonewall; three nieces and three nephews; his fiance', Cara Lane, of the home; his grandfather, Bill Hendley, Stonewall; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Gary Shipley and his grandmother, Billie Dean Hendley.
