CORALEE GREEN
ALLEN-Graveside services for Coralee (German) Green, 91, of Allen, formerly of Oklahoma City are 11:00 a.m. Friday at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Rev. Shaun Spencer will officiate.
Mrs. Green died Thursday, December 26, 2013 at her home in Allen. She was born August 10, 1922 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Peter Earl and Elva Pearl (Neighbors) German.
She was a graduate of Hugo High School, attended East Central University for 2 ½ years and held a degree in Communications from Southern Nazarene University, Bethany, OK, a Master's in Education from Central State University, Edmond, OK and certificates from Wycliffe Translator's Institutes, Norman OK, Instituto Norte Americano/ Mexicano, Mexico City, and Association of Christian Schools International.
She married Lewis Elward Green in May 1943 and assisted him in ministries in the Church of the Nazarene in Kansas and Oklahoma, Guatemala and Belize, Central America. In Guatemala she and family pioneered a missionary work among the K'ek'chi Indians.
She taught school in Bethany, OK; Kansas City, KS; Hugo, OK; Del City, OK; Belize City, C.A., and served as assistant to the headmaster at Grace Christian Academy, OKC, OK until she retired in 1987. She was active in the Association of Christian Schools International and served in many capacities in the Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Janice and Bill Dillender, Bakersfield CA; Cindi and Mike Sanders, Caitlin and Jessie, Allen, OK; Cathlena Spencer Wilmington, North Carolina; Leah Martin, Oklahoma City, OK; Shaun and Danielle Spencer Eva, Lily & Claire, Madison, Wisconsin; Kevin
and Jolinda Sanders, Jordan and Hunter, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Jason and Jenny Sanders , Plano TX; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lewis Elward Green, her parents, Peter and Pearl German, twin brothers, Elba and Earl German and an infant daughter Kathleen LeWeise.
