Connie Reed
HIGH POINT, NC-Memorial services for Connie Rae Paulson Reed, 71, of Trinity, NC, formerly of Ada and Pryor are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20th at the Lula Cemetery.
Mrs. Reed died December 7, 2014 in High Point, NC. She was born August 8, 1943 in Wichita, KS to Arthur James and Mary Mildred Williams Paulson. She moved to the Adair area as a child and attended Adair Schools. She graduated from Ada High School and attended Draughn Business School where she received a secretarial certificate.
She married James Don (JD) Reed of Tupelo in 1963. He preceded her in death in 1973.
She moved to the Pryor community in 1979. While living in Pryor, she earned a degree in business from Claremore Junior College. She and her children were members of Pryor First Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and directed the Singles Department. She later moved to Alabama to live with her sister. She worked for several years at the Ralston Purina facility (now Dupont) in the MidAmerica Industrial Park. She moved to Florida to be near her son and later to North Carolina.
Survivors include a daughter, Angela Jane Wood and husband Keith of Raleigh, NC; son, James Don Reed II and wife Shelly, Greensboro, NC; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
