Services for Connie Alene Merrick, 74, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2023 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate.  A private burial will follow at McGee Cemetery.

Mrs. Merrick died Monday, February 6, 2023 at a local assisted living center. She was born October 1, 1948 to Truett and Alene Wood Stewart.

She married James Merrick. He preceded her in death.  Mrs. Merrick was a homemaker.

Survivors include the father of her four children and husband of 13 years, James Larry Elkins; two daughters, Angelina Elkins and Sunshine Fox, both of Ada; two sons, Nicholas Elkins and wife Lani of Sapulpa, OK and James Elkins and wife Callie of Tuttle, OK; one brother, Terry Holman and wife Richell of Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren, Jessica Elkins, Ciara Elkins, Holden Elkins, Shannon Gourley, JJ Elkins, Jordan Christy, Saharra Elkins, Jayden Elkins, Hunter Fox, Joshua Smith and Truitt Smith; and three great-grandchildren, James Elkins, Elliott Elkins and Silas Elkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Merrick; and cousin, Sharon Elkins.
