FRANCIS-Services for Connie Ruth Guthrie, 69, of Francis are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Willie White will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Ms. Guthrie died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at her home. She was born March 28, 1943 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Jim E. and Dora Lee Barker Fowler. She moved to this area 12 years ago from Dallas, TX.
Ms. Guthrie was employed in the food service industry. She later was employed with Wal-Mart for over 7 years, and was also a caregiver. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a gardener and also did crafts.
Survivors include her children, John Wesley Oller and wife Jo Danielle of Wichita Falls, TX, Debora Ann Reed of Mesquite, TX, Cynthia Sue Oller and Tommy Hobbs of Bossier, LA, and James Roger Guthrie of Ada; a grandson whom she reared, Roger Dean Matthews and his wife Nikki of Ada; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Carla Sue Walker of Garland, TX; two brothers, James Fowler and wife Cheryl Ann of Francis, and Teddy Fowler of Francis; her nephews, James A. Fowler, Jamie E. Fowler, and Gary Wayne Fowler and wife Amber; numerous other nieces and nephews and family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ricky Alan Fowler; and a sister, Sandra Lee Atkeson.
Bearers will be Roger Matthews, Jamie Fowler, Gary Fowler, Johnny Oller, Bradley Fowler, and James Fowler.
