CLYDE DALE
ALLEN-Services for Clyde Alfred Dale, 83, of Allen, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Allen First Baptist Church, Rev. Chad Kaminski will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery. Friends and family may call Criswell Chapel in Allen from 4:00 p.m. Tuesday until service time.
Mr. Dale died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at an Allen nursing home. He was born December 10, 1928 in Bath, Illinois to Omar and Irene Mibbs Dale. He graduated from high school in Bath, Illinois.
He married Donna Jean Justice on July 18, 1954. He and his family moved to the Allen area from Creve Coeur, Illinois. Mr. Dale was a welder with Caterpillar Company in Peoria, Illinois until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Allen and a member of the Allen Lodge #81 AF & AM. Mr. Dale served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Jean Dale, of the home; a daughter, Debra Pitts of Allen; a son, Dwayne Dale and his wife Kim of Atoka; three grandchildren, Jacob Pitts, Trista Pitts and Kaylee Dale; a brother, Bobby Dale and his wife Sandy of Pekin, Illinois; two sisters, Mildred Hibbs and her husband Donald of Havana, Illinois, and Janice Hardesty of Havana, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ivan Dale and Elmer Dale.
Bearers will be Harold Akins, Jack Bryant, Bobby Linker, Doug Peay, Morris Chiles and Rance Willis. Honorary bearer will be Wilbur Justice, Jr.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64105.
