ADA-Services for Carla Cook Baxter, 49, Ada, are 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Criswell Chapel, Pastor Lucille Walden officiating. Burial follows at Maxwell Cemetery.
Mrs. Baxter died on Monday, January 18, 2010, at her home. She was born August 9, 1960, in Ada to John Ray and Dathine Cox Cook. She was affiliated with Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by a son, Michael Rice, Ada; mother, Dathine Anderson, Ada; four sisters, Susie Begay, Ada; Debbie Johnson, Ada; Jennifer Currier, Ada; and Stephanie Friar, Smithville, Virginia; four brothers, Jerry Dale Cox and wife Shandy, Ada; Doug Cook and wife Judy, Ada; Joe Cook, Ada; and Mark Cook, Ada; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Owen; and her father, John Ray Cook.
Bearers are Brad Carlson, Lloyd Currier, Willie Cook, Jimmy Joe Cook, Danny Johnson and Brenton Cook. Honorary bearers are Freddy Sweet, Mike Standridge, and Matt Choate.
