ADA-Services for Cleo Jane Avery, 81, of Ada, are 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Rosedale First Baptist Church, Ted Boles and Mark Qualls will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Rosedale, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Avery died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born January 23, 1932 in Rosedale, Oklahoma to William Robert and Cleo Patri Boles. She attended Rosedale schools and graduated from Rosedale High School in May, 1950. While in high school, she was active in basketball and softball.
She married E. J. (Buddy) Moore on November 24, 1950 in Olathe, Kansas. They had 5 children and lived in the Purcell, Rosedale and Wayne areas as Buddy worked on pipelines. She later married Robert Avery on April 5, 1978 in Miami, Oklahoma. They lived at Wayne until Robert took a job with The Grand River Dam Authority at Salina, Oklahoma. In 2007, they moved to Ada to be near family.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Avery, of the home; two sons, Tommy Moore and his wife Gloria of Stratford, and Jeffrey Moore of Ada; 9 grandchildren, Keith Moore, Jami Graham, Jaci Heaton, Taylor Moore, Cody Moore, Jeni Moore, Philip Hebb, Jr., Nathan Hebb, and Falisha Wood; 7 great grandchildren, Bryson Smith, Hayden Wood, Kynleigh Hebb, Jantz and Jayt Heaton, Hagen and Kadi Graham; two brothers, Alvie "Bud" Boles of Rosedale, and Edward Boles of Rosedale; two sisters, Edna Hall of Bethel and Odell Qualls of Byars; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ronald Keith Moore and Robert Lynn Moore; a daughter, Patricia Darlene (Moore) Dryden; a great grandson; 2 brothers; and 8 sisters.
Bearers will be Greg Davis, Tracy Boles, Philip Hebb, Jr., Kenneth Harris, Gary Grider, Brent Boles. Honorary bearers will be Larry McCall, Johnny Qualls, Jim Gurley and Alford Hutchison.
