ADA-Graveside services for Claude B. "Popa" Arterburn, 89, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate.
Mr. Arterburn died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at his home with family at his side. He was born March 21, 1925 in Oilton, Oklahoma to Millard O. and Clara Bell Cruzan Arterburn.
He married Ethelyne Tatum-Houchen on October 8, 1983 in Noble. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2004 in Ada. Mr. Arterburn was retired from Hodges Car Wash in Ada. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his three children, Judy Houchen, Shirley Phillips and Husband Gary, and Clareca Bishop, all of Ada; his 11 grandchildren, Doyalyne Gardner, Mark Goodwin, Kenny Lam, Kim Lam, Kaye Moril, Shawna Poe, Jake Houchen, Ashlee Douglas, Scotty Houchen, Michael Lawrence and Dustin Bishop; 18 great grandchildren, Leonda, Kurtis, Kelsey, Rachelle, Anna, Teresa, Kevin, Michael, David, Julie, Tiffany, Chance, Skyler, Brody, Kurtis, Addison, Jaxson and Kia; 11 great great grandchildren; a sister, Noreen Fluegel of Plymouth, WI; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ethelyne; a son, Punch Houchen; a daughter, Debbie Houchen; and 2 grandchildren, Ray Creech and Davia Fritcher.
Bearers will be his grandchildren.
