CLARISIA NICKERSON
ALLEN-Services for Clarisia Elora Nickerson, 75, Allen, are 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008, at the Criswell Chapel, Bill Nickerson and Rev. Earl Scroggins officiating. Burial follows at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis.
Mrs. Nickerson died on Friday, February 29, 2008, at an Allen nursing home. She was born August 8, 1932, near Francis to Willie and Annie Matthews Scroggins. She attended school at Cedar Grove and Francis, and graduated from Francis High School. She was a homemaker.
She married Billy H. Nickerson Sr. on September 13, 1950. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1992.
Survivors include a son, Bill Nickerson Jr. and his wife Sylvia, Ada; four daughters, Freta Holder and her husband Danny, Allen; Karen Rayner and her husband Wes, Geary, Oklahoma; Tommie Massie and her husband Cliff, Allen; and Sherry Merriman and her husband Chris, Allen; three brothers, Dellie Scroggins, Oakman; Carlus Scroggins, Francis; and Truman Scroggins, Francis; one sister, Clara Hooser, Francis; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Bearers are grandsons Benny Holder, Justin Holder, Chris Nickerson, Willie Nickerson, Derek Rayner and Bucky Peters.
