CLARENCE KESSINGER
BYNG-Graveside services for Charles Clarence Kessinger, 90, Byng are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Rosedale Cemetery, Carl Johnson will officiate.
Mr. Kessinger died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at his home. He was born August 19, 1918 at Boone County, West Virginia to Edward and Cora Mae Purdue Kessinger. He attended school in West Virginia.
He married Wanda Mae Pence on November 1, 1937. Mr. Kessinger was a Church of Christ preacher for 64 years. He was employed with Byng schools and East Central University in the maintenance departments.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Kessinger, of the home; one son, Buddy Kessinger and his wife Sue, Ada; a daughter, Sue Brumley and her husband Kenneth, Byng; six grandchildren, Tammy and Mike Hall, Steve and Lindsey Kessinger, Kent and Lisa Barton, Chuck and Scarlett Barton, Keri and Bryan Newell, and Stephen and Cindy Barton; and eight great grandchildren, Taylor Hall, Keeli Kessinger, Jalen Newell, Carter Kessinger, Gentri Newell, Brady Barton, Jackson Barton, and Lily Barton.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Judy Mae Kessinger.
