Clara Pevehouse
Memorial services for Clara Jean Pevehouse, 89, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Rosedale Cemetery, Rev. James Taylor will officiate.
Mrs. Pevehouse died March 19, 2018 at an Oklahoma City nursing home. She was born April 6, 1928 in Holdenville to H. B. and Doris Turner. She graduated from McLish High School.
She married Frank Pevehouse in 1950 at Ada, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She received her Bachelor's Degree from East Central University. Mrs. Pevehouse taught English at Fairview Schools, and later retired as a bookkeeper in Dallas, TX. She had been a long-time member of Oak Haven United Methodist Church in Irving, TX before she retired and moved back to Ada in 1977. She moved to Norman after the death of her husband, and attended Goodrich United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy McCullough and husband Rhett, and Sherry Davis and husband Rick; one daughter-in-law, Rosie Pevehouse; seven grandchildren, Kim Slone and Michael McCullough, Megan Hackbarth and husband Luke, Matt Davis and wife Ashlee, Mitch Davis and wife Emma, Tonisha Baiely, and Samuel Pevehouse and wife Angel; seven great-grandchildren, Keira Slone, Davis, George and Henry Hackbarth, Meagan Bailey, Samuel and Alexis Pevehouse.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Samuel Bruce Pevehouse; and a sister, Marion Miller.
