Clara Mae “Janet” McWhorter died surrounded by family at home on October 11, 2026. She was born May 4, 1930, to Harold “Jack” and Nora Beatrice Presley in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She eloped with the love of her life, Harold Lloyd, on October 13, 1947, who preceded her in death on June 17, 2018. She was employed by Wrangler as a supervisor at the Ada plant for many years, but she dedicated her life to her family. Nothing brought her more joy than her children and grandchildren and she gave countless years of her time in caring for them.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janet was preceded in death by her siblings Louise Southerland, Aubrey “Orb” Presley, and James “Pete” Presley, and a great-grandson Patrick Charles Murphy.

Janet is survived by two daughters, Janie Murphy and her husband Charlie of Clinton, OK, and Judy Davidson and her husband Ronnie of Ada, OK; five grandchildren, Amy (and Jason) Skaggs of Enid, OK, Rebecca Murphy of Clinton, OK, Shelley (and Tony) Cook of Clinton, OK, Karen (and Luke) Turner of Ada, OK, and Jake (and Jenny) Davidson of Austin, TX; fourteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, October 16th, at 2:00 pm at Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ada, officiated by Charlie Murphy and Kathy Lofton. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jake, Felix, and Heath Davidson, and Tony, Aaron, and Charley Cook; honorary pallbearers will be Jason Skaggs and Luke Turner. Family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 15th, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Criswell Funeral Home.
