CHRIS BARCLAY

BYNG-Services for Christopher Dwayne "Chris" Barclay, 41, Byng, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Browning will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Barclay died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at his home in Byng. He was born February 2, 1969 at Del Rio, Texas to Thomas and Donna Nelson Barclay. Chris was a resident of the Pauls Valley State School until 18 years of age. He moved to a Group Home in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Later he was at Ardmore and Moore Group Homes. He was presently living in Byng at a McCall's Group Home.

Chris was active with the Special Olympics. He bowled and had won many ribbons and medals in the Special Olympics, and was an avid fan of OU, OSU, and the Dallas Cowboys football. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his mom and dad, Donna and Al Gilley, Ada; his father, Thomas Barclay, Palm Coast, Florida; his uncles and aunts, Jimmy and Jeannette Nelson, Ada, John and Debbie Nelson, Houston, TX, Jerry and Paulina Nelson, Stratford, and Jerald and Laura Nelson, Houston, TX; two special nieces, Erica and Emily Nelson; and many cousins.

Bearers will be Lee Smith, Kirby Delozier, David Harper, Pat Richardson, Darrell Rhoads and Jimmy Nelson. Honorary bearers will be Jake Farmer, John Nelson II, and Jeremy Nelson.
