CHARLOTTE PHILLIPS
ADA-Services for Charlotte Ruth Phillips, 65, of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Danny Daniels will officiate.
Mrs. Phillips died Friday, August 31, 2012 at a local hospital. She was born January 14, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Eugene Earl and Ellen Davis Hedrick Penisten. She was raised by her father and step-mother, Ruth James Penisten. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1965.
She married Lee Craig Phillips on July 24, 1978 in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and had also worked at Westinghouse in Norman. She was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church in Shawnee and she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Phillips, of the home; three sons, Charles Edward "Chuck" Phillips and wife Lori of Katy, TX, George I. Phillips and wife Angela of Lexington, OK, and David A. Phillips of Stratford, OK; two daughters, Tara K. Cayton and husband Thomas of Stratford, OK, and Erica G. Hollingsworth and husband Eric of Ada, OK; two grandchildren, Alanna K. Phillips and Sidney L. Phillips; and many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Earl Penisten, Ellen Davis Hedrick Penisten and step-mother, Ruth James Penisten.
