CHARLOTTE LANDRITH
ADA-Services for Charlotte E. Landrith, 91, Ada, were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church, Revs. Temple Diehl and Bob Langston will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Landrith died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born March 8, 1920 in Ada, Oklahoma to Roy and Gertrude Cassidy Sneed. She lived in this area all her life. She attended Irving Grade School and graduated from Ada High School. She received Bachelor's and Master's degree's from East Central University.
She married Paul Landrith on July 15, 1942. Mrs. Landrith was a secretary with the Ada School System for over 20 years. She was a longtime active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and was an avid sports fan. She attended all 19 Ada High School Football State Championship games.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Landrith, of the home; a son, Tom Landrith and wife Gail, Ada; six grandchildren, Allison Carson and husband Steve, Matt Landrith and wife Hollie, Meredith Morris and husband, Dr. Britt Morris, Ryan Roberts and wife Kathy, Amanda Kelley and Douglas Kelley; nine great grandchildren, Sam Roberts, Blaine Carson, Elizabeth Landrith, Jack Morris, Jacqueline Landrith, Nick Roberts, Emmy Roberts, Madeline Carson, and Ava Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Paula E. Roberts; a sister, Marjorie Sneed; and great grandchildren, Will and Joy Roberts.
Bearers were James Whelchel, John Whelchel, Mark Landrith, Rob Helleland, Keith Wilkerson, J. E. Quinton, and David Platt. Honorary bearers were Bobby Johns, Bruce Johnson, Chester Sneed, Lattie Jones and Dr. Laurin Patton.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Asbury United Methodist Church, 508 W. 6th, Ada, Oklahoma, 74820.
