CHARLEY HARRELL
ADA-Services for Charley Dean Harrell, 75, Ada, are 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. Robert Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Harrell died Friday, October 15, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born September 23, 1935 at Francis, Oklahoma to Charley Thurman and Lettie Mae Parks Harrell. He played baseball for the Roff Tigers and graduated from Roff High School in 1953.
He married Betty Lou Neely on October 17, 1955. She preceded him in death on February 26, 1996. He married Glenda Gilleland on April 5, 1997. Mr. Harrell worked as a heating and air conditioning service man for over 30 years and was employed by Dependable Heat and Air for 15 years. He served for the Oklahoma 45th Division of the National Guard and standby reserves attached to the 4th Army.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda; a daughter, Donna Allen, Ada; three sons, Rickey Harrell, Ada, Ronnie Harrell, Fort Supply, and Mickey Harrell, McAlester; two sisters, Nadine Johnson, Hutchison, Kansas, and Betty McKenna, Hutchison, Kansas; three grandsons, Bobby Harrell, Michael Harrell, and Jason Harrell; three granddaughters, Krissa Harrell, Ashton Harrell and Stacy Harrell Smith; two great granddaughters, Chancey Smith and Dezerae Smith; three great grandsons, William Knell, Matthew Harrell and Jeremiah Ackers; two step daughters, Dorothy Ray and husband Jimmy, Ada, and Tommie Allen and husband Phillip, Ada; two step sons, Ronnie Gilleland and wife Tanya, Ada, and Larry Gilleland and wife Monica, Pauls Valley; six step grandsons, Broc Ray, Beau Ray, Brig Ray, Daden Allen, Bryce Gilleland, and Thomas Gilleland; four step granddaughters, Mackenzi Allen, Bryndee Ray, Allie Gilleland, and Taryn Gilleland, and a best friend, Doug Carter.
Mr. Harrell was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Eunice Beal, and a son-in-law, Marion Allen.
Bearers will be grandsons and step grandsons, Michael Harrell, Jason Harrell, Broc Ray, Beau Ray, Daden Allen, Brig Ray and Bryce Gilleland.
