ADA-Services for Charles Bruce Wright, 67, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Southwest Church of Christ, Floyd Kaiser and Scott Young will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery
Mr. Wright died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Veteran's Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born March 3, 1947 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Charles E. and Virginia Perry Wright. He attended Shawnee grade school. He and his family moved to this area in 1961 from Shawnee and he graduated from Ada High School. He attended two years at East Central University.
He married Patricia Ann Parker on July 2, 1971 in Ada. Mr. Wright had been employed with B & M Auto Parts Company; a family owned business, Perry and McGee Furniture; and Dunn's Fish Farm. He was a member of Southwest Church of Christ in Ada. Mr. Wright served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era and retired from the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Wright, of the home; a son, Edward B. Wright and his wife Jaime of Bethany; two grandsons, Zackary James Wright and Seth Charles Wright, both of Bethany; his step-mother, Bonnie Jack-Wright of Shawnee; his uncles, Robert Perry and wife Ann of Shawnee, Royce Perry of Oklahoma City, Paul Roach of Edmond; Orl Wright and wife Bonnie of Broken Arrow; and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents and grandparents.
Bearers will be Patrick Parker, Solomon Gantt, Phillip Lawrence, David Dunn, Rodney Brown and Henry Hoover.
