Charles Michael Flatt
Services for Charles Michael "Sarge" Flatt, 70, of Del City will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada, Rev. John Henry Lippard and Ernie Martens will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada
Mr. Flatt passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at a San Antonio, TX hospital. He was born November 2, 1945 at Cape Girardeau, MO to Charles Lee and Vivian Louise Starritt Flatt. He graduated from Holdenville High School and received a college degree.
He married Vera Pauline "Polly" Taylor March 19, 1965 in Holdenville. Mr. Flatt was self-employed in sales and he was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Norman. He served in the U.S Army Reserves and the National Guard for 24 years.
Survivors include his wife, Polly, of the home; two sons, Michael Flatt and wife Kristi of Friendswood, TX and Mark Flatt and wife Tina, Seguin, TX; six grandchildren, Lauren Flatt, Kelsey Flatt, Courtney Flatt, Camryn Flatt, Hayden Flatt and Tyler Flatt; a great-grandchild, Kegan Hill; one brother, Terry Flatt and wife Sheryl of East Stroudsburg, PA; a sister, Judy Martens and husband Ernie, Sallisaw; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Caleb Flatt.
