CHARLES ETIER

ADA-Services for Charles Etier, 60, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Capt. Mike Lucas with the Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakman Cemetery.

Mr. Etier died Monday, September 22, 2008 at his home. He was born May 17, 1948 at Ada, Oklahoma to Edgar and Mabel Owens Etier. He attended Byng schools.

He married Levonna Beam in 1989. Mr. Etier was in insurance sales and retired as a welder with Brown and Root Construction Company. Later, he was employed with Shiplet Tire and Appliance. Mr. Etier was an avid Ham radio operator and active in the Ada Amateur Radio Club, and was a disaster relief worker for the Salvation Army.

Survivors include his wife, Levonna Etier, of the home; two sons, Tracy Etier and wife Brooke, Tucker, GA, and Cody Etier, Conroe, TX; four daughters, Teeoti Jimenez, Ada, Jamie Collins and husband Scott, Ada, Brittni Etier, of the home, and Dakota Etier, of the home; two brothers, Dewayne Etier and wife Tonna, Peaster, TX, and Leon Etier, Sasakwa; two sisters, Linda Swinney and husband Alan, Tribbey, and Shirley Metcalf and husband Raleigh, Yukon; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Norma Jean Potter, and a grandson, Chance Etier.

Bearers will be Chris Stettler, Chris Faulkner, Sam Jewell, Jerry Bailey, Gil Ragland, and Aaron Merritt. Honorary bearers will be Robert McKeel, Wendell Adair, Sammy Martin, and Steve Frederick.
