Charles "Bud" West

Graveside services for Charles Leroy "Bud" West, 79, of Francis, are 12:00 Wednesday at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Rev. Willie White will officiate. Full military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy.

Mr. West passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at a Shawnee hospital. He was born August 23. 1937 near Francis to Roy and Ruby Lamb West.

He married Nancy Carolyn Muncrief September 5, 1956 and she preceded him in death August 29, 1995. Mr. West retired from the U.S. Navy. He also work as a custodian for the Byng schools and mowed lawns.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracey Prenzlin and her husband Charles of Francis; a son, Adam West of Francis; two granddaughters, April and Holly Self; and a close friend, Jessica Grummons of Ada.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy; and two brothers, Billy and Don West.

Bearers will be Timmy Harrison, his brother-in-law:  Mike Muncrief, William "Buddy" West, Cody Higdon, Joe Smith and Shawn White.
